Bangalore was
envisioned as a calm and quiet city with pleasant weather, innumerable gardens
and colonial style buildings in the early 1960’s till the late 1980’s. This
image started to change with establishment of Information Technology industries
in the early 1990’s. This slow change has gradually gained momentum and
Bangalore is now one of the biggest metropolitan cities in India. As is the result of urbanisation and
industrialisation, there has been a considerable increase in population and the
city has become a famous destination for foreign investors. The cosmopolitan
feel of the city also invites people from all over the world.
This change has
clearly affected the real
estate industry in Bangalore. Where, once you could see individual houses and
bungalows with terraces and gardens; now, there are sky scrapers and apartments
lining the core residential areas. The commercial spaces have also gained a
great demand in the last decade. The influx of working classes has created an
increased need for housing and recreational centres. The city has been
providing housing to people of different strata. The developers in the city are
facing major challenges in satisfying the demand of the customers. Property developers like Sterling Developers,
have started constructing apartments of different types and contemporary villas
to meet the demand.
The commercial
real estate has also evolved from single building offices into huge campuses
hosting different companies, a parking area, restaurants and coffee shops which
serve the convenience of employees. The challenges offered by the real estate
industry in Bangalore and the huge market for cotemporary and modern buildings
have attracted many international real estate companies.
You can now find beautiful community housing projects, brilliantly designed
commercial spaces, and some of the best malls, restaurants and clubs dotting
the city.
